Winona Faye Hodges Robins was born on December 18, 1931 at the family home near Forgan in Beaver County to Raymond Ellis Hodges and Edith Marie Gardner Hodges. She passed away at her home on May 17, 2020 surrounded by her family.

Faye graduated Forgan High School in 1949 as valedictorian.  She attended Panhandle A & M for a short time, and on August 12, 1951 at the Forgan First Methodist Church she was united in marriage to Lyndal Dean Robins, the son of Lowell Washburn and Virdie Adeline Grady Robins. The couple resided in Wichita, Kansas for 6 years where Faye worked the Coleman Company and Lyndal worked at Cessna aircraft. Upon returning to Beaver County they began farming, ranching and contract pumping operation.  Faye raised her family while working on the family farm and assisting in the contract pumping business.

Her life can be characterized by her hard work.  She could be found driving the tractor, working cattle, driving the wheat truck, cooking for the harvest crew or riding out on her horse to bring in the milk cow with her two daughters in tow.  The Robin’s home was always open to friends of Ray, Kay and Lynnetta as well as former classmates of Lyndal and Faye.  They enjoyed playing cards and other games with friends.  Memorial Day Weekend was always a special time for gathering at the house and reminiscing over days gone by and catching up on each other’s families.  Faye especially loved Christmas.  It was a joyous time of celebrating the birth of the Savior with her family.

Faye also had a strong love for God, family and friends. She and Lyndal were members of the Forgan First Christian Church where they raised their children in that faith.

She was involved in her children’s church and school activities.  She rarely missed one of her children’s academic, athletic or music activities. Education was important to her and she always encouraged her children to pursue their dreams and life goals.

The apostle Paul said in Philippians, chapter 4 verse 4, academics, “Rejoice always, again I say to you rejoice!” Today Faye is rejoicing because she is in the arms of her Savior Jesus and reuniting with loved ones.

She was preceded in death by beloved husband Lyndal Dean Robins of 53 years, her parents Raymond and Edith Hodges, an infant sister Leta Mae, and brother Jerry Ray.

Cherishing her memories are her three children, Raymond Robins and wife Cindy of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Kay Davis and husband Jeff of Garden City, Kansas and Lynnetta Stout and husband Bill of Forgan, Oklahoma. She was loved and adored by her grandchildren, Ryan Robins, Reagan Robins McCann, Jessica Stout Reed, Rachel Stout Bostwick and David Stout.  She was the beloved Great Grandmother of Ross, Rhett and Reece Robins, Paul and Reed McCann, Rocelyn Faye Reed and Mason Stout.  She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
