Yesenia Nevarez Rascon Obituary

Yesenia Nevarez Rascon, 45, of Laverne, Oklahoma passed away on March 13th, 2023 at Integris Baptist Hospital in Oklahoma City. Yesenia was born January 15th, 1978 to Pablo Nevarez and Carmendelia Andazola in Chihuahua, Mexico. She came to the United States when she was a young teen with her family.

Yesenia loved The Lord, her family and friends, truck driving, carpentry, and so much more. She married David Rascon in 2015, after being together for more than 20 years. They have three adult children together; Cinthya, Nathaniel, and Joselin. Yesenia, David, Cinthya, and Nathaniel moved to Laverne, Oklahoma in 2001 and later welcomed Joselin to their family that same year. She was able to accomplish her childhood dream of becoming a truck driver before being diagnosed with stage four adenocarcinoma of the stomach. Before getting sick, she was always taking care of everyone else, loved to cook, and was very involved in their church.

During the last seven months, Yesenia spent a lot of time in Oklahoma City with her husband and kids, and going to appointments to treat her cancer and symptoms. She was flooded with love, prayers, and laughter her whole life, but especially during the last few months of her life.

Yesenia is survived by her loving husband, David Rascon, of Laverne, Oklahoma; children: Cinthya Nevarez of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Nathaniel Nevarez and wife Cali of Edmond, Oklahoma, and Joselin Rascon and partner Joel Alba of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; father Pablo Nevarez and wife Irma; siblings: Alma Lorena Andazola and husband Guadalupe Montes of Laverne, Oklahoma, Daniel Nevarez and wife Guillermina of Shelton, Nebraska, and Kristin Nevarez of Shelton, Nebraska; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Yesenia was preceded in death by her mom, Carmendelia Andazola.

 

Yesenia Nevarez Rascon, de 45 años, de Laverne, Oklahoma, falleció el 13 de Marzo de 2023 en Integris Baptist Hospital en Oklahoma City. Yesenia nació el 15 de Enero de 1978 de Pablo Nevarez y Carmendelia Andazola en Chihuahua, México. Llegó a los Estados Unidos cuando era una adolescente con su familia.

Yesenia amaba al Señor, su familia y amigos, la conducción de camiones, la carpintería y mucho más. Se casó con David Rascón en el 2015, despues de estar juntos por más de 20 años. Tienen tres hijos adultos juntos; Cinthya, Nathaniel y Joselín. Yesenia, David, Cinthya y Nathaniel se mudaron a Laverne, Oklahoma en 2001 y luego le dieron la bienvenida a Joselin a su familia ese mismo año. Pudo cumplir su sueño de la infancia de convertirse en camionera antes de que le diagnosticaran adenocarcinoma de estómago en etapa cuatro. Antes de enfermarse, siempre cuidaba de los demás, le encantaba cocinar y estaba muy involucrada en su iglesia.

Durante los últimos siete meses, Yesenia pasó mucho tiempo en la ciudad de Oklahoma con su esposo e hijos y asistiendo a citas para tratar su cáncer y sus síntomas. Estuvo inundada de amor, oraciones y risas toda su vida, pero especialmente durante los últimos meses de su vida.
