Wayne Philip Pitts, son of Richard C. Pitts and Annette Pitts (Chantel), was born March 21,1945 in Chester, Pennsylvania and passed from this life on Saturday, March 28, 2020, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.  He was not surrounded by all loved ones due to the Coronavirus/CO-VID 19.  Wayne’s wife Sissy and son Cody were present during his passing.

     Wayne served in the United States Army from February 9, 1968 – February 3, 1970. He went to Basic Training in Fort Polk, Louisiana, AIT at Fort Lee, Virginia, and served in Viet Nam from 1968 – 1970. He was awarded the Viet Nam Service Medal and the Republic of Viet Nam Campaign Medal, as well as the National Defense Service Medal.

     Wayne was united in marriage to Cecilia Daniels on October 21, 1983, in Canadian, Texas. Wayne and Sissy made their home in Shattuck, Oklahoma until Wayne retired in from DCP in 2010, then moving to Oklahoma City, where they currently still reside.

     If you knew Wayne, you knew he had many hobbies which included; the most perfect yard, riding his motorcycle with friends and family, spending quality time with his wife, children, nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.  He truly was the definition of a family man.

     He is preceded in death by his parents Richard C. Pitts and Annette Chatel (Pitts), one brother Richard Pitts.

     He is survived by his wife of 37 years Cecilia “Sissy” Pitts of Oklahoma City, Ok, his son Cody Pitts of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and son Wayne Jr of West Virginia, and step son Tracey Elliott of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, as well as great nieces and nephews.
