Vincent Howard Friis

Vincent Howard Friis, he was 60 years old we found out! He always lied about his age to make him feel younger, everyone knew him with a different age. He has sadly left his friends and family without giving a notice, but that’s how he would’ve wanted it. He never wanted to worry anyone about anything. All he ever did was care about everyone before himself. Our dad was one of the goofiest dads you could have, and my sister and I wouldn’t have it any other way. You could mess around with him and never hurt his feelings. He made mistakes in his life, but they all built his character and quite honestly, I don’t believe God would’ve had it any other way. He was so strong and never let you know he was hurting because he never wanted anyone to worry. Our dad was selfless, he made everyone laugh, as if he was that missing piece of the puzzle you needed to make life a little better. He lived his life for my sister and I, and if that wasn’t enough, he took my friends and his friends’ children under his wings. He wanted everyone to feel loved. My dad was a simple man and the littlest things in life brought an abundance of joy to his heart. He also was at a place in life where he finally felt at peace with life and was genuinely happy with his daughters, son, granddaughter, friends, and himself. Our dad found God and loved going to church every Sunday and what more could you ask for? He was happy and at peace with God. And let’s not forget he got to meet his beautiful granddaughter, Millie Lynae Henry. He was a proud papa even if he hated being old enough to be papa. I will forever miss you daddy.
