Tony Norval Breon was born November 17, 1950 to Norval George Breon and Betty Faye O’Hair Breon in Shattuck, OK.
At the age of 13 he went to work milking cows in the morning before school for Dean Carnagey. After School he would haul hay or other odd jobs he could find to do. At 14 he went to work for his Uncle Milford Baldwin, doing custom wheat cutting, which took him as far away as North Dakota. He spent the winter time in Rosston learning how to weld. He graduated from Laverne High School in 1969 and was drafted into the Army in June of 1970. He served in Korea until January of 1972. When he returned, he started welding and rough necking, until he eventually started welding full time. When he ran out of welding jobs, he went to work for his cousin, Curtis Creed on the LX ranch until he moved to Oklahoma City. During this time he worked as a welding machinist. His neighbor, Vernon Munzy, got him started shooting commercial firework shows, which he continued to do for 25 years, every 4th of July. It became a family tradition for many years. His daughter, Mistie, was born while he was living in Blanchard, with his first wife DeAnn Brisendine. He moved back to Laverne in 1981, working as a welder, building rigs for Unit Drilling. They sent him to Chickasha where he met his current wife, Kaye Sams. They were united in marriage on August 25, 1982. He eventually quit working for Unit Drilling and went to work for himself, constructing steel frame buildings, welding on rigs, building cattle pens, or anything else he could find to do. He also raised cattle with his brother Kerry. He and Kaye bought Hometown Café, where he helped as much as possible, while he still did his welding and cattle jobs. After 7 years they sold the café and began buying rental properties, at one time owning 11 houses. Tony and Kaye loved working on the houses together along with their sons, Dean and Dexter. In 2013 Tony started having health problems which eventually lead to kidney failure and dialysis. He fought as hard as he could alongside his family for many years. He is loved extremely and will be missed beyond belief.
