Tom Eugene Myers

Tom Eugene Myers, 68, of Ashland, Kansas, passed from this life on August 5, 2022. He was born November 9, 1953, in El Dorado, Kansas, the second of five children. His parents were Frank and Peggy (Griffith) Myers of El Dorado, Kansas. Tom graduated from Flinthills High School Rosalia, Kansas in 1972 and attended technical school for HVAC work in Wichita, Kansas. On January 12, 1974, Tom married his high school sweetheart, Ramona June (Kropf) Myers. Their married years included living in Emporia and El Dorado, KS; Ordway, CO; Meade and Sublette, KS; back to Meade; and in 1998 to Ashland, KS. During these years they were blessed with three wonderful children, Heath Eugene, Jacque Leigh, and Robyn Lynn.

Tom started his Kansas Department of Transportation career in May of 1992 and continued until the time of his death, for a total of 30 years. He was the District 6, Sub Area 3, Supervisor from 1997-2022 in Ashland, KS.

Tom is survived by Ramona, his wife of 48 years; mother Peggy Myers, El Dorado, KS; brother John/Jodi Myers, Scottsdale, AZ; sisters Debra/Leon Pierce, El Dorado, KS; and Terri Blackston, Augusta, KS; son Heath/RyAnn (Mock), Winfield, KS, daughters Jacque/Robert Tacha, Meade, KS, Robyn/Justin Bravi, McPherson, KS; grandchildren Kayli & Brant Myers, Winfield, KS; Henry Tacha, Meade, KS; along with several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Frank Elgin, and sister Cheryl Leigh.

Cremation has taken place. A family Celebration of Life will occur at a later date.
