Stephen Jack Detrixhe

Stephen Jack Detrixhe was born on May 14, 1951. He was the son of Jack and Darline (Appel) Detrixhe and the older brother to Diana Christenson. Stephen grew up in Higgins, Texas, and attended Higgins School until graduation in 1969. He then joined the United States Navy until March 1971 when he was honorably discharged from Great Lakes Naval Academy in Illinois.

Stephen married in 1970 and to this union a son was born, Jeff Detrixhe of Higgins, Texas. Over the years Stephen has lived in various places before finally settling back in Higgins to finish out his life.

Stephen was a good husband, father and friend, who had a great love for the Lord.

On May 27, 2021, the Lord called Stephen home.

Stephen is survived by his son, Jeff Detrixhe and companion Josie of Higgins, TX; a sister, Diana Christenson of Higgins, TX; grandchildren, Joe, Jeremy and companion Alyssa, Jennifer and companion Avery, all of Higgins, TX; Jack and companion Beth of Laverne, OK; great-grandchildren, Cryslinn and Thorean (Thor) of Lake Livingston, TX; Brady, Jeffrey Dempsey (J.D.), and Teddy of Higgins, TX; Braylon and Brantley also of Higgins, TX; many other relatives and a host of friends.

We accept the grace and strength of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ but will miss Stephen very much. We know he is in a better place, happy, not in pain, and not suffering anymore. We give praise to the Lord for his infinite mercy.
