Sharon Broomfield, 79, passed away on June 28, 2025, in Ashland, Kansas. Born on September 23, 1945, in Winfield, Kansas, she lived a life marked by dedication to her family and a strong work ethic that carried her across states and industries.
Sharon began her professional journey working with surgical equipment at Wesley Hospital. Her career later led her into the field of plane manufacturing—a path that took her to California, where she lived for several decades. Her adaptability and commitment to her work reflected the same strength and determination she brought to every aspect of her life.
Above all else, Sharon was a loving mother and grandmother. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her family. She is survived by her three sons: Tim, Mike, and Anthony; and by her two daughters: Tonya and Marla. She also leaves behind four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, along with a host of nieces and nephews who will carry forward her memory.
Sharon was preceded in death by her father, James Rozar; her mother, Lela Mae Rozar; her sister Alma Darlene; and two brothers, Jimmy and David; and her son Gregory Allen Wilson.
Those who knew Sharon remember her as an amazing woman whose warmth touched many lives. Her legacy lives on through the love she gave so freely and the family she cherished so deeply.
May her memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved her.
