RA. Was my ag teacher in Arnett back in 1974-1975. Had good time in looking at show cattle and livestock judging. Bought several cattle from him several years ago. Was pretty good hand with the clippers but he knew I was pretty good too. May god bless the family and RA.

We lost a good man and one of our dearest friends. I have been fortunate to have know R.A. since 1966 when we were both Freshman at OSU. R.A. was one of the best shots I ever hunted quail with, and we hunted a lot in the 60's and 70's. R.A. was a person we that would do anything for us to help if we needed assistance. In recent years we talked often. It always took 5 to 10 minutes for R.A. to bring me up to date on what JJ, Danelle and the apple of his eye, his grandson had done and were doing. R.A. loved his family more than anything. We will miss him greatly, but find comfort in knowing he is in a better place and has no pain. We pray for God's love and grace for the family in this difficult time.

I met RA in 1994 when I brought Roy home to recover from heart surgery. They were neighbors and life long friends. Praying for his family to have comfort in this time of loss.

Very sorry to learn of RA's passing. RA came to my home and talked to me and my Dad about becoming an AGR when I was a senior in high school. I became a member and it changed the life of a gangly short grass country boy from Beaver county. RA and I also later had many great days judging the OK&T bull sale in Buffalo. I already and will always miss my friend. RIP

I moved to Laverne to take a job with OCES. R.A. was my first mentor and friend in Extension. I fondly remember many hours spent sitting with him on his porch discussing work, kids and cattle. I learned a lot and laughed a lot during these visits. I am praying for your family and know we will all miss those visits on the porch.

Terry and I are so very sorry to hear about RA. Such a dear friend and good person. When you were young JJ your dad called me and told me he had a cocker that he wanted me to come see. I told him I wasn’t going to keep the puppy only come to see her. I got to your house fell in love and RA said Pam I will give her to you. I said ok. Beautiful dog we named her Sugar. After a week of having her home she was losing weight and throwing up. Took her to vet and she had to stay there for a week almost died. RA felt so bad. We teased each other after that for years. She was THE very best dog we ever had, passed away only about 4 years ago. We adored that dog. We adored RA too. RA and terry drove many places together and RA would NEVER let Terry drive because terry closed his eyes once going to a livestock show and RA had enough of that. Many prayers to you and your family and we will miss your dad so much. Pam and Terry Nelson
