Rosalie (Buller) Valentine

Rosalie (Buller) Valentine passed from this life on Wednesday, April 9, 2025 at the Shattuck Nursing Center at the age of 88 years. She was born on December 18, 1936 to Jake P. Buller and Elizabeth (Eck) Buller in Aline-Cleo near Ringwood, Oklahoma.

She married Junior Gene Valentine on January 12, 1955 in Woodward, Oklahoma. Both Rosalie’s mother and Gene’s mother witnessed the blessed event. Rosalie attended Aline-Cleo Country School and later Shattuck Public Schools.

Gene and Rosalie made their first home on a ranch in the Gate Community where he worked on the Barby Ranch and later worked for Beaver County. In the 1960’s they made their home in Shattuck where they raised their three children; Barbara, Sandy and Gary.

Rosalie worked at the Shattuck Convalescent Center (now Shattuck Nursing Center) and Newman Memorial Hospital. After serving 31 years in the nursing field and retired in 2009. She loved helping and caring for her patients.

Rosalie is preceded in death by her husband Junior Gene, her parents, 5 sisters; Sylvia, Ruth, Viola, Pearl and Ruby, and 1 brother; Jerry Buller.

She is survived by her three children; Barbara and husband Buddy Hall of Dalhart, Texas, Sandy and husband Eric Terzo of Sharon, Oklahoma, and Gary and wife Ronna Valentine of Arnett, Oklahoma and grandson Houston and wife Dawn Thomas of Shattuck, Oklahoma and sister-in-law Annabelle Buller from Kansas, nieces, nephews and cherished friends and coworkers.

Rosalie was a kind, loving, caring mother and grandmother.
