Ronnie Ashlock was born on May 17, 1952, in Shattuck, Oklahoma, and spent most of his life in the close-knit community of Laverne, Oklahoma. He passed away on August 28, 2025.
Ronnie was a Navy veteran, having enlisted and served until receiving an honorable medical discharge. On June 22, 1975, he married the love of his life, Connie Gail Ashlock (Ingraham), at her parents’ home in Buffalo, Oklahoma. Together, they built a life grounded in love, family, hard work, and community.
Ronnie dedicated most of his career to the oil and gas industry, where he forged many lasting friendships. Alongside his full-time work, he ran his own electrician business in Laverne, a testament to his determination and entrepreneurial spirit.
He found joy in life’s simple pleasures—playing cards and dominos with his father, brother, and sister, and spending summers at Fort Supply Lake with his camper and boat, creating treasured memories with his loved ones.
Ronnie is lovingly remembered by his sister, Linda Mobley of Oklahoma City; his brother, Monte Ashlock and wife Jonell of Laverne; his children: Shane Ashlock and girlfriend Amber Scheler of Woodward, Brian Ashlock of Tulsa, and Michele Shropshire and husband Nick Shropshire of Yukon. He was a proud grandfather to Aydin Ashlock of Tulsa; Aleigh, Logan, Layla, and Parker Shropshire of Yukon. He also leaves behind uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews who will miss him dearly.
Ronnie was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Connie Gail Ashlock; his father, Albert Loren Ashlock of Laverne; his mother, Mary Lloyd Cox of Perryton, Texas; and his brother-in-law, Don Mobley of Oklahoma City.
Ronnie’s legacy is one of strength, warmth, and unwavering devotion to those he held dear. May his memory bring comfort to all who knew and loved him.
