Roma Jean Garner passed peacefully on December 6, 2021.
One of her greatest passions was her monthly newsletter to her beloved family and friends. She enjoyed serving throughout the years at Midway Church and Bethany Assembly of God in any capacity she could.
Roma Jean was born on July 6, 1947 in Beaver, Oklahoma to Jim and Roma Ford.
She graduated Follett High School in 1965. During the summer, beginning her junior year of high School, she attended West Texas Barber College in Amarillo. Upon graduation, she began her lifetime career spanning over 50 years as a barber.
She married Robert Patrick Garner of Amarillo on July 28, 1970. He served in the United States Army and she barbered on base and close by wherever he was stationed. They moved to Oklahoma in 1975. Roma Andridawn was born in June of 1975, their only child.
In 1978 Roma Jean had the opportunity to buy a barbershop in Bethany, Oklahoma. It was located in the DeVille Shopping Center and was aptly named Barber of DeVille.
Roma Jean was preceded in death by her parents Roma Ford and James Ford and granddaughter Haley Harrison.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years Robert “Pat” Garner, daughter Andridawn Harrison an sister Thelma Carol Herndon.
