Perry David Grantham

Perry David Grantham, 78, was born on 05/14/42 in Shattuck, OK and completed his life’s journey on 02/06/21 in Shady Point, OK. He was the middle child of Lowery and Ruth Grantham. Perry Grew up in Laverne, OK where he graduated high school. He attended Southwestern Bible College and Bethany Nazarene College where he graduated with a BS degree.  During his 30 year teaching career, he taught science, social studies, drivers ed and drove a school bus. Perry had a deep love for God and family. He was a member of the Gideons and attended church every Sunday with his loving wife of nearly 55 years, Esther J. Grantham. Perry was a quiet but compassionate man often helping people in need. He enjoyed wood projects, gardening, cooking, family trips and watching sports, especially OU football. He was Mr. G to his students, Uncle PD to his nieces and nephews, Dad to his children, PaPa to his grandchildren and Sweetheart to his Wife. He was dearly loved and will be deeply missed. Perry is preceded in death by his parents and son Jeffery David. He is survived by his wife Esther; son Dr. Matt Grantham and wife Dana; beloved grandchildren Davis, Keaton and Shana; brother Ray Grantham and wife Jean; sister Gaylene Hunt and husband Raymond; sister-in-law Karen Whitely; mother-in-law Lillian Whitely and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
