Martin Ray Ketron, Jr was born on his parents’ family farm, in Kibby, Oklahoma on October 5th, 1931. His parents were Martin Ray Ketron, Sr and Gladys Hazel (Mobley) Ketron. He was the fourth of five children. He started school in Kibby and graduated from Buffalo High School in the class of 1949. He worked through out the community for farmers and others until he graduated. He was disappointed being turned down when trying to enlist in the Navy for being too young. His father and three brothers all served in the military. In 1949, he began to work for the Oklahoma Department of Transportation at Buffalo. Later went to work for private companies building roads, turnpikes, and highways. In 1963, he returned to Harper County to build terraces and dams. He spent much of his time as a mechanic and worked on anything that had a motor. He also did various jobs for oil companies. He was a member of the First Baptist Church. He enjoyed his grandchildren and being outside all times of the year. Junior and Wanita worked together on food gardening with a plentiful bounty.

February 26th, 1950 he married Wanita Fae (Hardy) Ketron from Laverne. Five children were born to this union, Donita Fae Moore, Molly Ann Evans (Scott Evans). Teresa Rae Braswell (Tim Braswell), JuLonda Sue Ketron, and Martin Ray Ketron (Brenda Davis).

He is survived by his wife and 5 children as well as the following,

Grandchildren Desiree Moore, Dax Moore, Sarah Evans, Taylor Evans, Cameron Evans, Timothy Braswell, Jessica Lewis, Kenny Ketron and Kyler Ketron.

Great grandchildren Gareth Moore, Jackson Moore, Mika Moore, Sawyer Evans, Holden Evans, Brayden Braswell, Kilik Lewis, Kenzie Ketron, Timber Ketron, Scarlet Ketron, Bridgett Ketron, Max Ketron, Whitney Davis, Tiffany Davis, and Aiden Davis.

Sister Margaret Reeves.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Henderson, Bob and Calvin.
