Martha Nell (Meier) Tolley

Martha Nell (Meier) Tolley, went to be with her heavenly father on November 4, 2024, at the of age 92. She was born on March 28, 1932, in Arnett, Oklahoma. Her parents were Fred and Martha (Koch) Meier. She attended school in Arnett and Shattuck, Oklahoma, and later became a Licensed Practical Nurse and worked many years at Newman Memorial Hospital.

Martha was baptized and confirmed in the Christ Lutheran Church in Shattuck, Oklahoma, where she was a member for over 70 years.

On September 5, 1948, she married Lloyd G. Tolley at the country home of Herman Appel by Rev. W. W. Bentrup of Christ Lutheran Church. They celebrated 60 years together and spent many happy hours in their boat fishing. They lived and worked in Shattuck and were blessed with a daughter, Marla Valene. Later moved to Higgins, Texas, where they were blessed with two more daughters, Judy Jeanette, and Peggy Sue. They were engaged in farming and cattle. Martha had a large garden and enjoyed canning, cooking, and sewing. She loved having the family home to cook and care for. Especially her precious grandchildren.

In 1971 Martha helped her husband build a home on a farm south of Shattuck where she lived until the death of her husband in 2007. In 2011 she moved into Shattuck. She enjoyed taking care of her yard, birds, and her sweet “Sassy” kitty.

Preceding her in death was her loving soulmate and husband Lloyd, her parents, three brothers and six sisters. She leaves the following to remember the wonderful times together, daughter Marla Seeley and husband Mike, daughter Judy Barton and husband Randy, daughter Peggy Sue Floyd and husband Jodie. Eight grandchildren, David Joseph Webber, Michael Keith Seeley, Halie Kristine (Floyd) Butler, Stephen Lloyd Webber, Mark Kristopher Seeley and Ashley, Amber Jordyn (Floyd) Fields and Brad, Matthew Kevin Seeley, Korey William Floyd and Taylor, and ten great grandchildren, Rhiannon Skyy Seeley, Kylee May Seeley, Sylus Kristopher Seeley, Boston Avery Butler, Caroline Quinn Butler, Atlas Foster Seeley, Braydon Lane Fields, Emersyn Dale Fields, Hudson Lloyd Fields and Hayes Parker Floyd. Sister in-law Emogene Meier and many friends and relatives.
