Margaret Belle (Smith) Weidner

MARGARET BELLE WEIDNER, 104, Shattuck, OK passed away February 13, 2022. She was born June 4, 1917 to Harry and Aradelia Smith.  She was born at home 3 miles east of Gage, OK and was the 7^th of 8 children. She attended Lone Wolf and Arnett High School.  She married Christian Weidner, March 14, 1941. They moved to a farm 10 miles north of Shattuck where they farmed the land and had a dairy.

She was very active in her church, the St. Paul Congregational Church, in Shattuck where she designed the floral arrangements for Sunday services.  She was very involved in the Home Demonstration Club for years.  She loved to crochet and made many 3-piece sets of baby blankets, doilies, and afghans.  She was a wonderful cook and was always ready to share her dishes with family and friends.

Margaret always greeted everyone with her beautiful smile and joyful personality.  She was deeply loved by her family and friends and will be greatly missed.

She is survived by a daughter, Janice Wellman; 2 grandchildren, Christopher Wellman and Kimberly Wellman; 4 great grandchildren; 6 great greatgrandchildren; twelve nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Christian; son, Jerry Weidner; her parents; 5 sisters and 2 brothers.
