Lois Kay (Beard) Lusk

Lois Kay (Beard) Lusk was born on July 2, 1947 in Shattuck, Oklahoma to Fred and Opal Beard of Knowles, Oklahoma. She grew up on the family farm in Knowles, with sisters Marietta, Wyvetta, Freda, and brother James, Lois being the baby.

She attended Knowles High School where she graduated in 1965. She then attended beauty school in Oklahoma City. She met Lee Lusk in 1965 and they were married in Wheeler, Texas in 1966, and to this union two children were born, Sharon and Rick.

Lois has endured many adventures in her life. She has been a bank teller, city clerk, grocery clerk, bartender, waitress, and arial photographer for the state of Kansas. She spent the last 30+ years working for Stanley Love at Follett Food Market. Her and Edwina loved giving the customers a hard time.

Her greatest enjoyment was spending time watching her grandkids playing sports, musical concerts, building things and all their other activities. Most of all she loved spoiling them.

Lois gained her wings and left this Earth on September 20, 2020.

She is proceeded in death by her parents, sisters Marietta and Wyvetta, and brother James. She is survived by her children Sharon Chadwick and husband David of Follett, Texas, Rick Lusk and wife Wynona of Follett, Texas, sister Freda Batman and husband JD of Madill, Oklahoma.  Grandkids Quentin and Gretchen Chadwick, and Stetson Chadwick, Taylor, Levi, and Gregory Lusk, and great granddaughter Hannah Chadwick, and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
