Lidia Uresti (Cortez) Halliburton

Lidia Halliburton was born August 4, 1938 in Mexico and passed away on May 30, 2023. Lidia was born to Pantaleon Cortez and Catarina Uresti in Mexico. Her and her family moved to Mercedes, Texas. While in south Texas, she was involved in an accident which left her severly burned. She was the oldest of 15 brothers and sisters; Casi, Frank, Maria, Lupe, Poco, Mona, Joe, Ester, Junior, Cathy, Andy, Paula, Truck and Libby. She later moved to Perryton, Texas where she met and married LG Halliburton on August 30, 1964. They started a family and she raised 4 boys. She worked cleaning houses, babysitting, being a full-time mom and helping with the family farm as well. Lidia was active in the community helping others as an interpreter and was active in the Friends Church. The proudest moment in her life was when she became an American Citizen.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father, brothers Casi and Lupe and nieces and nephews.

Lidia is survived by her husband LG Halliburton of the home, and sons Raymond Halliburton of Perryton, TX, Lyle Halliburton of Amarillo, TX, Tommy Halliburton of Canyon, TX, Angel Halliburton of Perryton, TX, Carlos Canas of San Benito, TX and daughter Cecy Moylan of Washington, 11 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
