Larry Dean Dawson

Larry Dean Dawson passed away Monday, July 4, 2022 at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas at the age of 72.

He was born to William and Catherine Dawson in Enid, Oklahoma on February 20, 1950.

Larry joined St Joseph’s Catholic Church in April of 2014 and was an active member of the Knights of Columbus Ashland Council having joined on June 11, 2014.

Larry worked in road construction for most of his life. He took pride in being the best laydown machine operator in the business.

His hobbies were fishing and watching the Oklahoma University Sooners play football. He loved family gatherings and would be the first one to be ready and press you to hurry it up. He loved to help at all of the Knights of Columbus functions, especially Bingo, always showing up early and staying until everything was cleaned up and put away.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, William and Catherine Dawson, sister Bernice and brothers Chris and Rick.

He is survived by his loving wife Rosa Dawson and sons Damian and Jeremiah Murphy.
