Lannie George Zoldoske was born December 20, 1942, in Shattuck, OK to Olen and Wilma (Hayden) Zoldoske and passed away peacefully Sunday, July 14, 2024, at the Veteran’s Center in Clinton, OK, at the age of 81 years, 6 months and 14 days.
Lannie was raised on the family farm and attended school in Laverne, graduating with the class of 1961. He attended Oklahoma State University and received a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture.
After graduation, Lannie served in the Army and received a purple heart after he was injured in Vietnam. He also earned many other medals. When he returned to Oklahoma, he taught Agriculture at Cheyenne Public Schools for a few years and was also the senior class sponsor. Many students said he was their favorite teacher. Lannie returned to the family farm to work with his father, Olen, and later bought the farm south of May.
Lannie married Sue (Bunker) Zoldoske on December 23, 1975, in Laverne, OK. Throughout his life, Lannie was involved in many organizations including the Laverne American Legion. Farming and ranching were his life and he never stopped working hard with the help of Vernon Thomas.
Lannie was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Sue. He is survived by two children, Nancy O’Hair Stinson of Bethany, OK and Brian O’Hair of Weatherford, OK; two grandsons, Shawn & Kelby Stinson of Bethany, OK; nieces Mundy Berrong Green and husband Dennis and Sherrie Berrong of Weatherford, and many family and friends.
The family would like to thank the Veteran’s Center and Good Shepherd Hospice for the great care that was given to Lannie.
