Judith Kay (Worton) Bryer, 72, was born on September 1, 1949 in Hutchison, Kansas to Fred and Maxine Worton. Judy married Eugene Bryer on May 19th, 1968 in Wheatland, Wyoming. Together, they had two children Jesse and Justin Bryer. Judy loved being around kids. She worked at Forgan Public Schools for many years, and after retirement, you could find her cheering loudly in the stands at any Bulldog game.
When Judy wasn’t cheering for the Bulldogs, you could find her frequenting the Stateline Bingo Hall, “convincing” her husband Eugene to take her to the casino or loving on her four grandchildren (though everyone knows she picked a favorite). Even in the end of her life, Judy never lost her sense of humor. Whether it be telling her grandkids to be quiet while she was trying to die, or asking why she was still there, her hilarious personality continued to shine through until the end.
Judy’s colorful sense of humor will forever be remembered and missed by those she knew and loved. Even when Judy sometimes got out of line, her sister-in-law Connie Acker was always there to lovingly rebuke her funny, yet mildly questionable, one-liners. Judy was witty, creative, strong, caring and adored by everyone she met.
Preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Bryer and parents Fred and Maxine Worton, sister-in-law Macy Bryer and brothers-in-law Claude and Norman Bryer, Judy Bryer passed on Monday, January 31 at the age of 72 at the Beaver County Memorial Hospital in Beaver, Oklahoma.
She is survived by her sons Jesse (Melissa) Bryer and Justin (Debbie) Bryer, both of Forgan, Oklahoma; in-laws Wanda (Robert) Williamson, Linda (Dale) Steele, Eason (Carol) Bryer, Lila (George) Bethea, Mamie (Porky) Oaks, Connie (Bennie) Acker, Bonnie Acker; and grandchildren Macie Bryer, Chase Bryer, Chandler Bryer, and Colby Bryer, as well as countless family and friends.
