Juanita Nicholson Obituary

We are here to celebrate the life of Juanita Nicholson. Most here know her as mom or grandma. Juanita Nicholson was given her wings on Friday September 3rd, a young and beautiful 76. She was taken from us far too soon due to complications from Covid. She may be gone from us, but she is not lost and nor will she be forgotten. She was Born in Nebraska June 16th, 1945, she grew up and spent most of her life in Oklahoma. Spending a lot of her youth in Laverne, OK. Where she met the love of her life, Geary Nicholson. He wrote her a story about their lives a few years ago and we wanted to share a brief portion of it with you. To let you see a glimpse of the timeless love they created and shared together.

"The year was 1957: I was sitting in Mrs. Hendrick's 6th grade class on the first day of the new school year when in walked this vision of loveliness. Waist length flaming red hair done up in a pony tail, a light dusting of pale freckles on both sides of her nose, bright shining eyes, and a gorgeous smile. She was wearing a beautiful late summer dress, white socks and black shoes. All in all, she was the most stunning, the most absolutely attractive and breathtaking girl I had ever seen. Her name was Juanita Ferchau."

It was then he set his cap for her.  He managed to win her heart and her love. They dated all through their school years and married right out of high school. Then she became a mom, then a grandmother, followed by a great grandmother.  She was a strong and independent woman. She saw who you were and would call you on your faults; it didn’t much matter whether you wanted to hear it or not she would let you know. And she would love you anyway, with her whole heart.   She was not only loved, but so very much adored.

She touched so very many souls in her life, but none more deeply than that of her husband Geary Nicholson. Married for fifty-seven years and together for sixty-two. He also wrote this in their life story:  " I have come to the realization that love must be like a bottomless well that has no limit. I say that because I love you more and deeper with each and every passing year, month, week, and all the way down to minutes and seconds I suppose. It just somehow keeps getting better and better and I know that our love will continue to grow deeper with the passage of time until we have used up all of our minutes on this earth. And even then our love will continue as we walk through the Promised Land holding hands and saying nothing, just content being together. "The love they share spilled over to their family and friends and was remarked to be one of the greatest love stories ever known and experienced.

Listing all of the names left to carry on her love and memories would take an entire novel. Her husband Geary Nicholson is most notable, as they were always and will always be one. She has a sister Paula and a brother Bob, Their kids who knew her as aunt, and theirs who knew her as grandma. Her two Sons: Ron, Mike and daughter in law Tiffany, Her grandchildren; Bea(39) and her significant other Mike, Keith(36) and his wife Shanon, Kristie (33), Amber(33) and her husband Todd, Zac (31), Evan(30) and his wife Amber . Her 10 great grandchildren; Isaiah(18), Daimein (16), Vance (15), Zach (12), Aubrie (12), LeAnn (11), Jeremiah (10), Emma Faye (9), Boston (6), Alyssa May (5).

She will always remain in the hearts and souls of everyone that had the privilege of knowing her and experiencing her light. We know that she will always be looking down and guiding us, and will never be afraid to take us to the bathroom if we get too far out of line. As she said, "Mind your P's and Q's!' and we will see her again one day.

Friends and family have shared their relationship to show their support.
