Joy Eulene (Hauth) Hennigh was born October 3, 1930 to Geraldine (Moore) Hauth and Denver Hauth in Beaver County, Oklahoma. Her father, Denver, moved the family to California during the Dust Bowl. He found out he was ill and the doctor told him he didn’t have long to live. He then moved the family back to Oklahoma on the farm with her grandfather Henry Hauth and grandmother Levina.
Joy attended Laverne Schools. She married Jay Clinton Hennigh in 1952. They had son Tony while Jay was in college in Stillwater, Oklahoma. They later welcomed sons Robin and Dandy Jo to their family. Jay went on to teach High School in Laverne until he retired to be a full-time farmer.
Joy enjoyed being a farmer’s wife, mother and grandmother. She also enjoyed playing the piano.
Joy is preceded in death by her husband Jay, her parents and son Robin Hennigh.
She is survived by her son Dandy Jo Hennigh, son Tony Hennigh, grandchildren Anthony/Shaman Hennigh and wife Micah, Stryker Tuttle, Dani Tuttle, great grandchildren Brodi Burris-Tuttle, and Robyn Hennigh, Zander Hennigh, Nicholas Hennigh and Megan and great-great grandson Milles Cohen, sister Bonnie McKee, brother Wayne Hauth, nieces Jayanna McKee and Shelly Jordan.
