Jennifer Lynn Mulkey was born on June 19, 1961 to David and Alys Smith in Denver, Colorado.
Jenny met the love of her life, Dutch Mulkey, in Edmond, Oklahoma in November of 1980. They were soon married on January 31, 1981 and began their life together. They spent some years in Montana, but most of their life was built together in Higgins, Texas.
She worked as a custodian at Higgins ISD for several years where she was often greeted by smiling children shouting her name. However, Jenny’s greatest role in life was caring for her family as a devoted stay at home wife and mother. Her love, strength, and dedication to her family were an example to all. She always made sure things were so special for those she loved. Jenny was an amazing cook and was always eager to feed everyone.
Jenny passed from this life on October 19, 2025 in her home. She is preceded in death by her parents, David and Alys Smith, sisters Barbara Cossey and Patricia Smith, and brother David Smith, Jr.
She is survived by her sons, Luke Mulkey of Higgins, TX and Andrew Mulkey and fiancé Marissa of Bloomfield, Nebraska and her daughters, Lisa Hammons and husband Shawn of Higgins, TX, Julie Nance of Vici, OK, and Katie Krodle and husband Josh of Fritch, TX, grandchildren Navi, Cameron, Grant, Kiara, Liberty, Latham, Walter, Violet, Tucker, Wyatt, Winston, Hazel, and baby boy coming next April, and great-granddaughters Everleigh and Wrenleigh.
