Jane Alene (Wyand) Baldwin, of Laverne, Oklahoma passed away Friday, February 22, 2019.  Jane was born January 14, 1946, in Shattuck, Oklahoma to Barbara (Leatherman) Wyand and Clyde Wyand, Sr. On November 1, 1974, Jane married the love of her life, Ernie Baldwin.

Jane was a graduate of the prestigious class of 1964 at Laverne High School, where she was consistently awarded the best dressed female in school, partly due to her parents running the Globe clothing store in Laverne.

Jane loved the mountains, the family cabin at Eagle Nest, camping, and her winter retreats to Arizona with Ernie.  She was an accomplished crafter, whether it was quilting, beading, stained glass, painting, macramé, ceramics, gourds, or wheat weaving.  She also enjoyed watching the activities of her grandchildren, who lovingly referred to her as Grandma Nick-Nak because of the song she always sang to them. Jane will always be remembered as a fabulous cook – as evident from a look at her family.

Jane is survived by her loving husband, Ernie, of the home, daughter, Sally Trippet and husband, Todd, of Beaver, Oklahoma, son, Stuart Baldwin and wife, Laurie, of Lock Haven, Pennsylvania, and son-in-law, Faron Pugh, of Laverne, Oklahoma. She was blessed with ten grandchildren, Blake and wife, Lisa, Kody, Chase, Cole, Logan, Dayton “Jake”, Tyson, Chayna and husband, Aric, Savana, and Bailey, and four great-grandchildren, Ryland, Emersyn, Kinsley and Elijah.

Jane is also survived by her mother, Barbara Wyand, of Laverne, Oklahoma, brothers, Clyde, Jr. and wife, Wanda, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Tony and wife, Kathy, of Norman, Oklahoma, and Russell and wife, Donna, of Laverne, Oklahoma, aunt, Betty Freed, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, sisters-in-law, Sandy Clapp and husband Rodney, of Wheaton, Illinois, and Sunny Long and husband, Kurt, of Laverne, Oklahoma, and brother-in-law, Bill Conant, from Granbury, Texas, along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Jane was preceded in death by her father, Clyde, Sr., and her daughter, Amy.
