Irma Lujan was born on May 8, 1962 in Nicolas Bravo, Chihuahua, Mexico to Abelardo and Rosalia Licano. She passed away peacefully in her home in Forgan, Oklahoma on August 9th, 2025 surrounded by her family that loved her dearly. She was married to her husband Nicolas Lujan for what seemed like too little time. They had four children Gilberto, Nidia, Joel and Christopher who she loved with all her heart.
Irma loved being able to stay home and take care of her children. Irma, Nicolas and their 2 older children emigrated from Mexico in 1989 to Oklahoma and have lived in multiple homes in the Beaver County area since. They had their 2 younger boys not long after and Irma had her hands full taking care of them. She traveled constantly when they received bad news that their youngest, Christopher, had renal failure at the young age of 6 and she made so many trips to Oklahoma City and Kansas City until he was better.
Irma had many friends and family that loved her dearly. She was the oldest of 8 siblings and loved to be around people. She is preceded in death by her parents and a younger sister.
She is survived by her 3 sons: Gilberto, Joel and Christopher; and by her daughter Nidia and husband Kelly Cherry. She also leaves behind four grandchildren: Natalie(19), Yeshua(18), Sophia(17) and Ealina(16) along with a host of nieces and nephews who will carry forward her memory.
May her memory bring comfort and joy to those who loved and cherished her. Mema will be forever loved and remembered by anyone who got the pleasure of being in her presence.
