Ida “Sue” (Knight) Pillars was born to Charles Knight and Ida Almeda (Speer) Knight on May 12, 1939 at Sunkist, Oklahoma. Sue, as she preferred to be called, attended Boswell High School and then received her certification as a Med Aide (CMA) and worked at the Beaver County Nursing Home for 24 years.
Sue married the love of her life, Garland Allan Pillars in 1956 and they enjoyed 67 years of marriage until his passing in June of this year. To this union were born five children; Marshall Allan, Terry Len, Cindy Sue, Haskell Lance and Billy Don.

Sue was supportive of Garland and his love of horses, also sponsored him in his roping career with his horse Ajax and many others. After her retirement she enjoyed being Garland’s co-pilot while he was “Makin’ the circle”.
