Frankie “Fran” Ann Winn passed away on April 20, 2024 at the age of 76. She was born January 29, 1948 to Ruby (Steinert) and Frank Kunka in Shattuck, Oklahoma.
Fran attended all 12 years in Follett Schools and graduated with the class of 1966, followed by one year at Texas Tech. Fran began her working career as a waitress at the Panther Cove, followed by Hughes Oil, with the last 29 years of her career being a secretary for Farmers Grain.
Fran was a phenomenal cook, making dishes for many events & people around Follett. Her family was especially fond of her butterballs, stuffed mushrooms & cheesy carrots. Fran loved gardening & planting flowers, despite living on a windy hill, she kept her yard as beautiful as possible. She also enjoyed reading, being out with the cattle & watching cooking shows.
Fran avidly followed her son, Jason Robert in all his school sports and supported him even more strongly during his service as a Marine in Iraq. She was proud to be not only a military mother, but grandma to Conley & Madelyn, who brought her so much enjoyment.
Fran was preceded in death by her parents, brother Kay and sister-in-law Sharon Kunka and father-in-law Joe E. Winn.
She is survived by her husband Jayson of 33 years, her son Jason Robert of Wichita, KS and his two children Conley and Madelyn, her brothers Gary Kunka & wife Vickie, Glen Kunka & wife Sherry, aunt LaVeta Buchner, mother-in-law Carol Winn and countless family & friends.
The family would like to give a big “Thank You” to Cindy Hernandez and Cassandra Humbert for the wonderful care they gave Fran, which allowed her to stay home throughout her illness.
