Obituary Image

Forrest was born April 19, 1959.  He joined his wife, Virginia Rush, in heaven on December 21, 2020.

Forrest was raised by his amazing Grandma Jenny and spent his childhood on the farm.  There he spent time with a lot of family and friends.  He always spoke so fondly of his favorite Aunt Stella, he loved that she looked so much like his grandma.  He told stories of many different animals and adventures he had. He had a pet cow that he loved walking the fields with.

Forrest attended Gate schools until they closed and he was transferred to Forgan where he graduated. He attended the vo-tech after high school.

He met the love of his life, Virginia, while he was working at Western State. They built an amazing life together at Fort Supply where they shared their life and love with many family members. They loved to travel, watching fireworks, attending the Crystal Christmas and the Laverne 4th of July parade.

He worked for ODOT until he was unable to work anymore.  He really liked his work and he called many of his coworkers, friends.

After the passing of his wife in 2016, he moved to Gage, Oklahoma.  He lived there with his wife’s dog Gracie.  He spoiled her like crazy, feeding her cheeseburgers, bologna, and canned chicken.  She was a very much needed companion.  He also spent so much time with “his people”, Peggy McDowell, Tammy Miller and Italy Custard. He attended all of Italy’s school activities which included softball, basketball, and playing in the band at football games. He also loved being a part of the animal shows that Italy participated in. He went every year to OYE and he even insisted on having matching caps and going out to eat.

Forrest was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Rush, his mother Joann (Grimm) Gooddale, his father Clyde Clark, his grandparents Roy and Jeannie Grimm, his sister Clydene Clark Brunson and brother Jay. His is survived by his daughter Peggy McDowell, his granddaughter Tammy Miller, great granddaughter Italy Custard, sister Jennie Clark Johnson and her family, brother Homer Gooddale and his family, several nieces, nephews and friends.
