Edward “Eddie” Lynn Scott R.T. (R) (ARRT) of Lipscomb, Texas died April 17, 2026 in Amarillo, Texas, at the age of 83, after a short illness. He was born December 17, 1942 in East Highland, California to Jessie Lea (Stringfellow) and Gilbert Harl Scott.
Edward was enlisted in the Navy as an Xray Technician and then attended Parkland Hospital Radiologic Technology School in Dallas, graduating in 1964. He married Virginia Lee Creager August 26, 1965. They had 3 children, Chandra, Sandra and Lance. They lived in Dallas, Corpus Christi, Amarillo and Sugarland. They returned to Lipscomb in the early 90’s to be close to Virginia’s parents. He worked at BSA Hospital in Amarillo, Parkland Hospital in Dallas and Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston as well as traveling around to many different hospitals as an Xray Technician for over 40 years.
Eddie enjoyed snow skiing, his dogs and taking the grandchildren fishing at the creek.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Eddie is survived by his wife Virginia of the home, Chandra (Jason) Wells of Amarillo, Texas, Sandra Scott (Russell Bertrand) of Sugarland, Texas and Lance (Jennifer) Scott of Lipscomb, Texas, 9 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
