Della Marie Henkelman was born February 26, 1961 to Leo and Bettie Carroll Henkelman in Manning, Iowa. She left this life at the age of 64 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma after a battle with cancer.
Della graduated with the class of 1979 from Erie High School in Erie, Illinois. As an adult, she worked as an orthodontist assistant in Illinois, managed the Western Auto in Laverne, Oklahoma, and then she joined her life partner, Kelly at the grocery store in Laverne. She had retired to take care of the grandkids.
She loved spending time with her grandkids, Chicago Bears football and was a Nascar fan. Della loved to cook and bake, especially with her grandkids.
She is preceded in death by her father Leo Henkelman, mother Bettie Carroll Henkelman, brother Mike Henkelman, brother George Henkelman and brother Kevin Henkelman.
Della is survived by her life partner Kelly Witchey of Laverne, Oklahoma, son Lee Lyon of Laverne, Oklahoma, son Tom Lyon of Skiatook, Oklahoma, granddaughters Xayli Lyon, Lyla Lyon and Ellie Lyon of Laverne, Oklahoma and Blaire Lyon of Skiatook, Oklahoma, grandson Aidrian Lyon of Laverne, Oklahoma, brother Pete Henkelman of Cleveland, Illinois, sister Sue Henkelman of Erie, Illinois, sister Rose Huelskamp of Garden City, Kansas and sister Wendy Stubbs of Erie, Illinois.
