Daniel Jessup Obituary

Daniel Charles Jessup was born on December 13, 1956, in Butte Montana to David and Donna (Lowe) Jessup.  He left this life on January 21, 2025, at the age of 68.  Dan attended John R. Rogers High School and graduated with the class of 1974.  While in high school Dan enjoyed football and wrestling.

In 1974 Dan enlisted in the United States Air Force and served 15 years.  During that time he proudly served his country and made many friends.

Dan was blessed with three children, Laura Schreiber, Jessica Knappek, and Joe Jessup. He was known for his guidance and infectious laughter and he loved his children very much.

Dan was a dedicated and compassionate licensed nursing home administrator, whose commitment to excellence spanned several years.  He was a proven leader in healthcare, always striving to enhance the quality of care and well-being of the residents. Dan's excellence in organizational leadership was evident in his ability to inspire and guide his team, making a lasting impact on the community he served. Dan was also a devoted member of his church, where he served faithfully on the administrative board, always offering his support and dedication.

On May 18, 2019, Dan was joined in marriage to Cinda Husted.  Dan and Cinda lived a life full of joy and adventure.  He loved spending time at Grand Lake and would share his love of OU sports with everyone around him.  One of Dan's top items on his bucket list was to travel to all 50 states.  He was able to check that box when he and Cinda traveled to Hawaii in June 2024. But no journey was complete without his loyal dog, Tillie, by his side, accompanying him on long rides that brought him so much happiness.  Dan's warmth and adventurous spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Dan is preceded in death by his parents David and Donna Jessup, brother David Jessup Jr., and sister Diane Bourquin.  He is survived by his wife Cinda, brother Crazy Bear and wife Lesia of Walsh CO; brother Donald Jessup and wife Jeri of Nampa ID; his three children, Laura Schreiber and husband Trace of Florida, Jessica Knappek of Mabton, WA, and Joe Jessup and wife Alesha of Post Falls, ID; two step-children, Shawna Kendall and husband Craig of Lakeville, MN, and Chance Husted and his wife Devin of Weatherford, OK and his beloved dog Tillie as well as seven grandchildren, seven step-grandchildren and one step-great granddaughter.
