It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of a beloved husband, father and Pa. Brent Person, 68, left this world a life rich in hard work and cherished relationships. He passed peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Sunday January 4, 2026.
Born July 7, 1957 in Jacksonville, Arkansas, Brent lived his best life in the countryside of Slapout, Oklahoma. He was a true steward of the land. His passion for farming was evident to all who knew him; he found joy and purpose in every sunrise spent caring for his family and animals. His strong hands, weathered by decades of honest labor, taught many the values of patience, perseverance, and a profound respect for nature's rhythms.
Beyond the fields, he was a pillar of his community and a tireless friend. He will be remembered for his infectious laughter and generous spirit. His wisdom, often shared through stories of his years on the farm, provided guidance and comfort to countless friends and neighbors.
He is preceded in death by parents A.E. “Bud” Person, Betty (Jimmie) Person Rowin, sister Lisa Person Shepard, brother-in-law John “David” Rounsaville and grandson Jasper Long. He is survived by his loving wife Tomma, children Heath (Lindsey) Person of Laverne, OK., Brendon (Kalle) Laubhan of Edmond, OK., Adam (Nikie) Person of Mt. Vernon, AR., Kenton (Sarah) Laubhan of Follett, TX., Samantha (Timmy) Long of Russellville, KY., Tori (Justin Hernandez) Laubhan of Follett, TX., Chelsey (Ben) Buffa of Russellville, KY., Jared (Jessica) Person of Bowling Green, KY., 23 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, sisters Carol Ann Rounsaville, Austin, AR, Susan (Joe) Sharp of Mt. Vernon AR. , Patty (Phil) Bryant Mt. Vernon AR. , and Linda(Gary) Underwood, Heber Springs, AR., and a large host of extended family and friends who will carry his memory in their hearts.
Though his work on earth is done, his legacy will continue in the lives of those he touched.
