Colleen (Ball) Schultz

Colleen Schultz of Follett, Texas passed away on August 2, 2024 in Perryton, Texas. Colleen was born in Coalville, Utah on December 2, 1939 to Sheriff Burt and Lillian Ida Diston Ball. Colleen was raised and baptized in the Mormon Faith.

On February 7, 1959, Colleen married Floyd Schultz in Evanston, Wyoming. Coralee, Donald, Sheri and Kathy were born to this union. In 1966, the family moved to Shattuck, OK and a short time later they moved to Follett, TX. Colleen worked as a cook at the Panther Cove for many years. Colleen would see one of her regular customers coming in the door and would have their breakfast ready for them before they even set down. In 1980 they moved to Booker, Texas and later to St. Francis, Kansas. In 1998, Colleen was so happy when they moved back to Follett which was truly home to her.

Colleen was an awesome cook and made the best fried chicken and bierock. She enjoyed cooking for family gatherings and always made sure everyone had full tummies. She loved when her daughters would come and work on projects around her house. They might have even scared her a time a two when they were on the roof trimming her trees. She was affectionally known as Granny and loved and cherished her grandkids, great grandkids and great great grandkids. She was the happiest when family they came to visit.

Colleen was preceded in death by her parents, husband, her siblings, Edna, Ray, Thelma, Lloyd, Gerald, James, Marjorie, Quentin and Gladys. She is survived by her children, Donald Schultz, Coralee Schultz, Sheri Gillespie and Kathy Jones. Grandkids, Shane, Nathan, Danielle, Jennifer, Melissa, Shawn and Shanda. 18 great grandkids and 3 great great grandkids.
