Obituary for Celia Doris Kellow Ellis-Seemann. October 16, 1934 to August 3, 2021.

Celia Doris Ellis quietly passed from her worldly home to her heavenly home on August 3, 2021 in Beaver, Oklahoma.

Celia was born to Doutie Kellow and Opal Pruitt Kellow on October 16, 1934 in RioVista, Texas. She was united in marriage to Harold Ellis on December 24, 1950 in Waurika, Oklahoma. Mom and Dad ran a dairy farm near Weatherford, Texas until 1959 when they loaded up and moved to Amarillo, Texas, after 10 years in Amarillo in 1969 dad was transferred to Booker, Texas where mom worked in the kitchen in Senior Village later working as dietary manager at Twin Oaks Manor in Booker, Texas. As a result of Celia’s sweet, quiet spirit she was loved by many. Her beautiful life will be forever cherished by her children. Harold preceded Celia in death on April 27, 1995. She was also preceded in death by her brother James Kellow, a son-in-law James Francisco, a daughter-in law Rhonda Ellis, a granddaughter Christen Ellis and a son-in-law Roy Christ Babitzke. She is survived by her sister Judi Francisco of Graham, Tx. and many other family members.

I have to include this information that a cousin sent to us because it is so special to our family. Thank you Sherrie Porter.; Aunt Doris is the last of an Ellis Legacy: August 3rd marks the end of a generation.  My Great Aunt Doris has passed away.  She was my last Great Aunt on any side of the family.  She was the widow of my grandmother’s youngest brother, Uncle Harold Ellis.  My grandmother, Rosalie Ellis Dodson, was the youngest girl.  I got to doing the math.  From the birth of my Great Aunt Bessie in 1896 to today, that generation of my family spanned 125 years.  And boy howdy are there great stories and lots of great memories!   Lots of laughter!  I’m sitting here recalling many of them tonight.
