Carol Sue (Baker) Malone

Carol Sue (Baker) Malone of Laverne, OK, went to be with the Lord on December 29, 2018, at the age of 74.  She was born on September 10, 1944 in Ellis County, to Jacob Baker and Audrey Clayton Baker.  She married Earl Gene Malone in Laverne, OK on March 19, 1965. 

She is survived by her husband of 53 years; daughter, Anita Denese Stevenson of Holcomb, KS; daughter, Pamela Sue Foti and husband Cory of Tulsa, OK;  5 grandchildren, Amanda Leigh Stevenson, Kendall Maloy Stevenson, Adrianne Kay Stevenson, Marcus James Heald, and Alyssa Denese Stevenson; 2 great-grandchildren, Raiden O’Ryan McVey-Bennett, and Emmarie Ann Stevenson; sister, Betty Baker Welsh.  She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Dixie Deal. 

Carol was a devoted Christian, wife, and mother.  Each day would begin and end with reading scripture and prayer.  Born on a farm, and twelve years younger than her two sisters, Carol lived a life of compassion and hard work from the classroom to the choir room. There are not enough “I love you’s” or “thank you’s” to acknowledge the light and love that she brought into the world.
