Roberta Althier Meliza was born May 11, 1932, in Enterprise, Pennsylvania, to John Willard and Alma Roberta (Reese) Sharp and passed away on November 4, 2022, at Weatherford Regional Hospital.
Bobbie was raised in northwest Pennsylvania and graduated from Youngsville High School in 1950. There she met her future husband, Everett Meliza, who was stationed at George Air Force Base in Victorville, CA. They were married on February 8, 1954, at the home of her parents in Adelanto. After his discharge from the Air Force, the couple moved to Oklahoma and made their home in Tyrone for over sixty years.
Bobbie and Everett were the parents of a daughter, Evette, and a son, Don.
Bobbie loved being a homemaker, wife, and mother. Her children fondly recall their mom cooking them breakfast and reading to them from the Bible every morning before they left for school. Bobbie and Everett loved spending time together. They traveled around the US, built their house in Tyrone, and enjoyed daily walks around town. Bobbie was an avid reader and enjoyed sewing and crocheting. She loved spending time with her family and “spoiling” her grandson, Chase.
