Anna "Sue" (McFarland) Stanley

     Anna “Sue” Stanley, the oldest daughter of Donald and Luvella McFarland, was born on December 12^th, 1941 at Midlothian Oklahoma and departed this life on November 4^th, 2020 at her home in Rosston OK, at the age of 78 years, 10 month and 23 days.  Sue was the oldest of 5 children and grew up in an oil field family.  She started school in Fresno California and also attended school in Stroud Oklahoma before graduating from Laverne High School in Laverne Oklahoma with the class of 1960. 

     Sue married the love of her life Cecil Stanley on November 5^th 1963 and to this union three children were born, Dirk Edward, Anthony Blake and Amber Sue.  Cecil and Sue made their home in Gate Oklahoma where Sue was a devoted Farmer’s Wife and mother.  Sue enjoyed working at Avery’s Grocery store in Gate as well as working at the Gate CO-OP and Gate post office.  Sue was also an accomplished Beautician and enjoyed driving a school bus for Laverne Schools.  Sue and Cecil enjoyed horses and shared a love of travelling taking family vacations from California to Canada.  Sue also had a strong love of the Mountains of Northern New Mexico and after Cecil passed away, Sue split her time for several years between her home in Gate and her home in Eagle Nest New Mexico where she enjoyed entertaining friends and family. 

     Sue was preceded in death by her Parents, her husband Cecil, a sister Jo and a brother Paul and a niece Becky.  Sue leaves as her survivors, son Dirk Stanley of Gate Oklahoma and his son Braxton, son Blake Stanley and his wife Tiana of Blanchard Oklahoma and their children Kennedi, Brant and Tatum, Daughter Amber and her husband Dustin of Rosston Oklahoma and their daughter Dallie;  1 sister Patty McFarland  of Wichita Kansas ,  1 Brother Darrell McFarland and wife Lucille of Enid Oklahoma.  As well as many nieces and nephews other relatives and a host of great friends.
