Marilyn Elaine Lansdown Moseley was born September 6, 1933, to Forest Marvin Lansdown and Edith Mary Aldrich Lansdown at Woodward, Oklahoma.  She attended Woodward Public Schools and graduated in 1951.

In 1953, while attending Oklahoma A&M University she met the love of her life, Melvin Wayne Moseley, on a blind date to Lake Blackwell. Two years later, Marilyn and Melvin were married at the First Methodist Church in Woodward, Oklahoma on April 14th, 1955.

After Melvin completed two years serving in the Army in Korea, the family returned to Stillwater. Marilyn worked at the college library and played violin in the orchestra while studying to be an elementary school teacher. While in Stillwater, their daughter, Denise Waynette Moseley, was born on September 25th, 1959.

Upon graduation, the young family moved to Knowles, Oklahoma where Melvin started his teaching career.  While there, James Marvin Moseley was born on April 26, 1962, and Mark Wayne Moseley on October 19, 1964.

After five years in Knowles, Marilyn and Melvin relocated to Covington, Oklahoma.  Melvin served as the High School Principal for two years.

In 1967, the family moved to Laverne, Oklahoma where Melvin taught until his retirement in 1992.  Marilyn spent most of her days as a stay-at-home mom so she could tend to the needs of her children and her teacher/farmer/rancher husband.  She later worked as a bookkeeper for Laverne TV Cable and Morey's Drug Store. She acted as Melvin’s assistant cross country coach and advisor for many years. She was also known to drive a wheat truck or tractor on more than a few occasions.

Marilyn Moseley passed away on May 30, 2019 in Cordell, Oklahoma.
