Larry Neal Witchey

Larry Neal Witchey, the son of Floyd Dean Witchey and Wanda Fern (O’Neal) Witchey was born in Ulysses, Kansas on February 19, 1964 and departed this life quietly at his home in Laverne, Oklahoma on April 13, 2018.

He attended school in Laverne, Oklahoma graduating with the Class of 1982. Upon graduation he attended college at Northwestern Oklahoma State University in Alva, Oklahoma and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Science in 1988.

He married Patty (Allen) on October 7, 1994 to this union Tori Jade Witchey, was born, this was his proudest moment.

He worked for the Harper County Sheriff’s Department and retired after over 20 years of service before, buying the Laverne Venture Grocery Store. He sold the store after 15 years of ownership. He was an avid gun collector and enjoyed hunting when time would allow. He was also a huge supporter in his community and with Tori’s sports and singing activities.

He survived by his daughter, Tori Witchey of Laverne, Oklahoma, brothers; Gene Witchey of Laverne, Oklahoma, Kelly Witchey of Laverne, Oklahoma, Ryan Witchey of Olathe, Kansas, Tommy Mason of Haysville, Kansas and sister; Cindee Small of Liberal, Kansas.

He is preceded in death by his parents; Floyd Witchey and Wanda Witchey  Mason of Laverne, Oklahoma and  sister; Gina (Mason) Mills of Beaver, Oklahoma.
