Landon "Sandy" Dwight Haydock Jr.

Landon Dwight Haydock Jr. (Sandy), a long time resident of Ashland, KS, died unexpectedly on March 20, 2018, at the age of 66. 

Sandy is survived by his wife Vicki (Milligan) Haydock of 43 years; their  children, Nicholas Dustin of Buffalo, OK;  Benjamin Donald of Ashland, KS;  Vanessa Milligan and her husband Patrick Johnson of Winston-Salem, NC; and  two grandsons, Kade Landon Haydock of Ashland, KS, and Leo Walker Johnson of Winston-Salem, NC. He is also survived by his sister, Mary Lee (Haydock) Adams, and her husband, Mike of Cleburne, TX, and their children and grandchildren.  He is preceded in death by his parents Landon Dwight and Mary Eleanor.

Sandy was born in Ashland, KS, on July 15, 1951. He graduated from Ashland High School in 1969. He attended the University of Kansas and became a Jayhawk for life.  On December 28, 1974, he married his high school sweetheart, Victoria Lea Milligan.  Sandy and Vicki were blessed with three children.  During his career he worked for Northern Natural, Enron, and Great Lakes Gas Companies, residing in Ashland, KS, Shattuck, OK, and Iron Mountain, MI. 

Sandy was a devoted father and enjoyed being involved in the Boy Scouts of America and trapshooting with his sons.  He also enjoyed golf and fishing, and he made many friends with his participation in trapshooting events.  Sandy loved all genres of music, and had an extensive collection of songs.  He was a member of the Ashland Presbyterian Church and the Ashland Masonic Lodge.  Sandy served on the Ashland Library board for many years and was a trustee on the Abel Education Trust.
