Ivan Ray Bozarth

Ivan Ray Bozarth was born on November 15, 1950 in Laverne, Oklahoma to Auto Fay and Eula Francis (Colten) Bozarth. Ivan grew up on the family farm in Beaver County, Oklahoma and then moved to Laverne. He attended Laverne Schools. He was united in marriage to Sandra Allen Courange on September 26, 1967 in Laverne, Oklahoma, to this union three children were born; Ivan Todd Bozarth, Julie Faye (Bozarth) Coulter, Debbie Sue (Bozarth) Ellis, and adopted Linda Sue (Cooper) Daughtery.

Ivan worked several jobs throughout his career including working for Bob McClung ranching, Shorty Rolf, Western State Hospital of Fort Supply, and numerous other jobs. He always had a lot of animals and loved working with them. He loved his pets and always had a special bond with them. Some of which included a monkey, deer, goats, pigs, mules, donkeys, horses, cattle, birds, and probably anything else you could imagine. He was full of life, quite ornery and loved to bargain.

Ivan and Connie first met in 1996.   In 1997 they bought a house in Woodward, Oklahoma.   They both began working on many projects together and caring for their many pets.    They both enjoyed taking long walks through Boiling Springs State Park.   At an early point in their happy union they started taking care of horses as it was loved by both.   Shortly afterwards, they acquired land northeast of Woodward and purchased additional horses and other livestock.   After many years of bliss companionship, they both were officially united in holy matrimony on 12/15/14. Then they both were able to purchase additional land south of Laverne, Oklahoma where they were residing at the time of Ivan’s passing through to the spiritual world.   

Ivan passed away in Enid, Oklahoma at the age of 68 years old on June 17, 2019.

He was proceeded in death by his parents, brother; David Bozarth, and son in law to be; Brandon Shepherd.

He is survived by his wife; Connie Bozarth, children; Linda Sue Daughtery and Randy of Purdy, Missouri, Ivan Todd Bozarth and Kassie of Seymour, Missouri, Julie Faye Coulter and Greg of Woodward, Oklahoma, and Debbie Sue Ellis and Jason of Laverne, Oklahoma, stepchildren; William Joe and Jamie Foxen Matheny  of Sandy, Utah, Wayne Eastabrook – Joe and Paul Monds of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Chris Joe of Woodward, Oklahoma, and Heidi Cook and Bill of Mutual, Oklahoma, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, three brothers; Marvin and Rosie Bozarth of Roosevelt, Utah, Auto and Doris Bozarth of Derby, Kansas, Melvin and Terry Bozarth of Laverne, Oklahoma, one sister; Faye and Billy Firth of Laverne, Oklahoma.
