   Henrietta Marie Weigel Herl, 86, of Ashland, Kansas, formerly of Tribune, Kansas, died comfortably and peacefully surrounded by all of her children, on May 2, 2018, at Via Christi-St. Frances Hospital in Wichita, Kansas. Born February 16, 1932 in Ellis County, Kansas, she is predeceased by her parents, her siblings, and her late husband, Gerald Dean Herl of Tribune, Kansas.

   Gerald and Henrietta were married May 14, 1956 in Ellis, Kansas.  Henrietta was a homemaker and joined with her husband, Gerald, in the raising of five children and operation of the Herl Brothers Cattle Company in Greeley County, Kansas.  After Gerald’s death in 1984, she moved to Tribune and began working at the First Tribune Insurance office and got her insurance license.  Henrietta was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Tribune, Kansas until she re-located to Ashland, Kansas in 2015 when she became a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Ashland.

   Survivors include her five children, Cynthia (Tod) Noble of Overland Park, Kansas; Steven Herl of Ashland, Kansas; Carolyn Jenlink of Topeka, Kansas; Connie Herl of Ashland, Kansas; and Gerald Herl of Orla, Texas. She had six grandchildren, David (Allison) Noble of Gardner, Kansas; Mary Noble of Rapid City, South Dakota; Matt (Teika) Arnold of Ashland, Kansas; Sarah Jenlink of Wichita, Kansas; Hannah Jenlink of Wichita, Kansas; and Leah Jenlink of Wichita, Kansas. She had six grandsons:  Hudson Noble and Becket Noble of Gardner, Kansas; Braylen Korth of Rapid City, South Dakota; Ka’Mari Jenlink of Wichita, Kansas, and Colten Long and Carter Long of Wichita, Kansas.

   Funeral services will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Ashland, Kansas and burial will be held at Greeley County Cemetery, Tribune, Kansas. Memorial donations may be made to Ashland Library P.O. Box 397 Ashland Kansas 67831
