HAROLD G. ELMORE

        Harold G. Elmore, son of Luther Stanley and Nellie Fern (Garringer) Elmore, was born May 29, 1923 in Shattuck, Oklahoma. He passed from this life September 28, 2017 at his home, in Shattuck, Ok at the age of 94 years.

     Harold grew to manhood in Shattuck, where he attended elementary and high school. After high school Harold enlisted in the Air Force and made it his career.

     On July 29, 1950 in the San Jacinto Methodist Church in Amarillo, Texas.  Hinda Mildred (Sleeth) was married to Harold G. Elmore by the Reverend Hubert Thomson.  She had two young sons at the time, Gregory Mann of Jerome, Idaho and Roderick Mann of El Monte California. William her first husband was In a Naval aircraft that was lot at sea.    

     After living in Santa Barbara, California they moved back to Shattuck and enjoyed going to the Shattuck Senior Citizens Center where they both enjoyed visiting and reminiscing. Hinda passed away on August 6, 2007.  Harold continued to go to the Center where he loved to play pool and enjoyed being a Referee at the pool tournaments, every day he liked to go to Tom’s Quick Stop and have Coffee visit with

the girls and customers and then get his mail.

     Harold was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and three brothers, Lloyd, Burnell, (Tuffy) Luther Elmore. Two sisters-in-law Ethel Elmore, and Neva Jo Elmore and nephews Gordon and Gary Elmore. 

     He is survived by his two children Gregory and Roderick, Niece Betty Jo Elmore of Shattuck, several Nieces and nephews, and many, dear friends.  A special neighbor Minnie Hollister and Thelma Bailey of Woodward, ok.

In lieu of services the family will be remembering him privately.
