Floyd A. Ashpaugh died Friday, December 8, 2017 at the Shattuck Nursing Center in Shattuck, Oklahoma.  He was born January 22, 1929 to Orval and Louise (Kliewer) Ashpaugh south of Gage on the family farm.  On August 15, 1950 Floyd married Anna Faye Boyd in Arnett, Oklahoma.  Three children were born to this union Katherine Lee Miller, Floyd Neal Ashpaugh and Larry Gene Ashpaugh.  Floyd worked on his farm south of Shattuck.  He also worked for the county, drove a Shattuck school bus and delivered the mail for the United States Post Office.  Floyd and Anna Faye loved square dancing and traveling.  Anna Faye preceded Floyd in death on February 20, 1998.  On November 28, 2005, Floyd married Phyllis Klein in Lipscomb, Texas.  They continued to live on the farm until 2013 when they moved to Shattuck.  Floyd fell and broke his hip in February 2017 and lived the remainder of his life at Shattuck Nursing Center.  Floyd was preceded in death by his parents Orval and Louise, his wife Anna Faye, two brothers Clarence and Orval Jr., five sisters Juanita Herron, Lola Boyd, Carolyn Chambers, Willa Johnson, Joann Ashpaugh and one son-in-law Gary Miller. 

Survivors include his wife Phyllis of the home, his three children Kathy Miller, of Runaway Bay, Texas, Neal Ashpaugh and wife Shawn of Follett, Texas, Larry Ashpaugh and wife Deanna of Shattuck, Oklahoma, one sister LeEtta Apple and her husband Harlin, one brother Gene Ashpaugh, nine grandchildren ShaNelle Altmiller and husband Kyle, Kayci Ashpaugh, Jon Ashpaugh, Kari Ashpaugh, Kyla Randazzo and husband Antonio, Kim Gartrell, Zoe Ann O’Neal, Hadd Miller and wife Pam, Leslie Woodson and husband Ryan, twenty-three great grandchildren two great great grandchildren, his loved dog Megan and countless relatives and friends.
