Evelyn Lucille Caldwell born January 3, 1925, on a farm southeast of Gage, OK, to Clarence and Lucille (Kendall) Molloy.  She passed away October 22, 2018 in the Sunset Estates in Purcell, Oklahoma.

She attended Shelton County School through the 8th grade.  She graduated with the class of 1942, from Gage High School. On January 17, 1942, Evelyn was united in marriage to Clyde Rankin Fisher in Canadian, Texas. They made their home in Shattuck, where Evelyn has resided for 68 years.  Two daughters were born to this union: Sandra Sue and Linda Lou.  Evelyn later married Dean Caldwell.  He preceded her in death in 1965.

Evelyn gave her life to Jesus Christ in 1952, and was baptized in the First Baptist Church.  She served in the Nursery Department every Sunday for 21 years. She also assisted in organization and food preparation of funeral dinners until the age of 90.  She continued to make her salads for the dinners upon request.

Evelyn was employed by the Newman Memorial Clinic and Hospital for 40 years. She began work as a doctor’s receptionist.  In 1961, she began working as an assistant in the X-Ray Department.  She worked in the Home Health Department until her retirement.

Evelyn had many hobbies and interest during her life.  She was a self-taught seamstress and was most proud of the Easter dressed, recital and prom dresses she made for her daughters.  Evelyn was also accomplished at crocheting, knitting and quilting.  Another interest was gardening.  She took great pride in her flower beds and yard.

Some of the organizations Evelyn participated in during her lifetime were the Rebekah Lodge, Ladies Auxiliary, Calico Club and Red Hats. Retirement led her into the life of a volunteer and helping others.  She delivered Meals-on-Wheels for 19 years.  She served as a Pink Lady at the hospital for 18 years.  She also volunteered at the Shattuck Nursing Center, Blood Drives and Voting Poll.  Evelyn was a strong supporter of Shattuck Schools and their sports programs.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents C.C. Molloy in 1975, and Lucille Molloy in 1989; her brother Raymond Molly in 1996; husband Dean Caldwell in 1965.

Survivors are Daughters Sandra (Melton) Ezell of Purcell, OK and Linda (Bruce) Rothschild of Chula Vista, CA; grandchildren Travis (Dana) Ezell of Wayne, OK and Melissa(Jonas) Clogston of Yukon, OK; great-grandchildren Lauren, Lindsey and Brendan Ezell, Grace and Halle Bailey, Kaitlyn and Luke Stevens; niece Sherlyn Longhofer of Gage, OK, and other family and friends.
