DONNA JUNE (CROUCH) DETRIXHE

  Donna June Detrixhe, 81, of Shattuck, Oklahoma, passed away on November 30, 2016 in Enid, Oklahoma.  Donna was born in Lawton, Oklahoma on August 25, 1935 to Lawrence (Pete) and Ruth Snyder Crouch.  She lived in Lawton until her parents and 3 siblings moved to Shattuck, Oklahoma when she was 12 years old.
She met Paul Detrixhe of Higgins, Texas while working in her parent’s bakery and in August 1956 they were married.  To this union were born six children; Lana, Sharon, Karen, Pauline, David and Diedra.
They lived in Amarillo, Texas for approximately three years and then moved to Higgins, Texas in 1959.  Donna enjoyed life as a stay at home mom where she stayed busy with the many activities of her children and later in life with those of her 10 grandchildren.
In 1975 her family moved to Okeene, Oklahoma for Paul’s job and they stayed there until 1979, when they transferred to Shattuck and lived there until her passing.
Donna will be remembered for her love of flower gardening, working cross word puzzles and games and spoiling her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Her family loved her unique sense of humor.  She was the first to make everyone laugh and feel at ease and welcome, no matter the situation.  She will always be remembered for putting her family first.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents, husband Paul, brother Myron Crouch, daughter Karen Spaeth, grandson Cory Chaffin and son-in-law Rock Cozort.
Survivors include five children: Lana and Danny Nakvinda of Enid, Oklahoma; Sharon and Johnny Chaffin of Shattuck, Oklahoma; Pauline Cozort of Forsyth, Missouri; David and Lisa Detrixhe of Edmond, Oklahoma and Diedra and Lonnie Starbuck of Shattuck, Oklahoma. Two sisters: Barbara Clark of Eufaula, Oklahoma, Wanda Akers of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.  Nine grandchildren: Ashley Spaeth Fanning, Eric Chaffin, Matthew Starbuck, Dara Detrixhe, Bailey Spaeth Miller, Brent Starbuck, Miles Cozort, Garrett Detrixhe and Presley Cozort, and four great grandchildren, Hallie and Bella Fanning and Aaron and Asher Starbuck.  Two sisters, Wanda Akers of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Barbara and husband Gene Clark of Eufaula, Oklahoma.
Family suggest Memorials to Life Share with the Mason Funeral Home accepting memorials at P.O. Box 695, Shattuck, Ok, 73858.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 3, 2016 at 2:00 pm at the First Baptist Church in Shattuck, Oklahoma with Kenneth Platte and Cawlie Johnson officiating. Casket Bearers were Eric Chaffin, Matt Starbuck, Miles Cozort, Garrett Detrixhe, Riley Fanning and Brent Starbuck. Honorary Casket Bearer in Memory, Cory Chattin.  Soloist for the service was Angela Moore, she sang, “I Can Only Imagine”, “You Raise Me Up”.  Interment was in the Shattuck Memorial Cemetery, Shattuck, Oklahoma under the arrangements of Mason Funeral Home of Shattuck, Oklahoma.
