Cecil Woods Jr

Cecil Woods, Junior died February 25, 2017 at Beaver Memorial Hospital after a long illness. Cecil was born to Cecil Woods, Sr. and Connie Lorraine Woods at Ash Grove, Missouri on May 14, 1939. He is survived by two brothers and two sisters, David and Jean Woods of Willard, Missouri; Dennis and Tawana Woods of Beaver, Oklahoma; Donna and Robert Miller of Neosho, Missouri; and Betty Lucille Lutz of Springfield, Missouri; and many nieces and nephews.

Cecil’s schooling went to junior high. He worked many odd jobs including filling stations, fixing tires and farm work.

Cecil basically lived any and everywhere because he had been everywhere from California to Arkansas. He truly had been everywhere.

He attended First Assembly of God Church of Beaver. Cecil’s favorite hobby was bingo and he loved to play bingo at the nursing home. Most of the time.

Some of the fondest memories of Cecil were his trips to Liberal and cheating on his diabetic diet with strawberry milkshakes and banana splits. The fondest memory of all was when he was baptized at Beaver Memorial Hospital in the walk-in shower using a stock tank and all the preachers of the ministerial fellowship doing the baptism.

He is preceded in death by his father Cecil Woods date of birth unknown his mother Connie Lorraine Woods born November 9, 1921 both of Ash Grove Missouri.  Cecil’s father died in 1963, his mother died in 1990. His son Jimmy Woods and his wife Oley.
