Bertha Louise (Johnson) Orr

     Bertha Louise Orr, daughter of Bill and Dorothy Cooley (Johnson), was born on May

11, 1945, in Shattuck, OK. She passed from this life on November 8, 2019, at the

Shattuck Nursing Center, at the age of 74.

     Bertha Louise, known by most as Louise and often lovingly called, Bert or Weezy by

friends and family.  She grew up on the family farm north of Shattuck.

     Louise met Richard Monroe Orr and married him on her 16th Birthday, May 11, 1961.

To this union 3 children were born, Loy, Kevin and LaDonna.  She was a home maker a

 lot of her married life, as the family traveled where Richard was stationed in the Military.

They lived many places from 1962-1978 such as Germany, Ft. Hood, TX.  Ft

Leonardwood, MI, Ft Benning, GA, Aberdeen, MA and Abilene, Tx. During this time

Louise found the time from raising a family to complete her education and continue on to

become a nurse. In 1978 Richard retired form the military and they move home to

 Shattuck where they opened and ran R and L. Pinball World, serving pizza and

hamburgers. 

     Louise was a member of First Christian Church in Shattuck. She loved her many

animals over the years, large and small. She loved gardening and being outside!

She enjoyed fishing and camping as well, when she couldn’t be outside, she really loved

to crochet!

     Louise was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Richard, one son Kevin, her

Billy and brother – law Gordon Elmore.

     She is survived by her sister Betty Elmore of Shattuck, one son, Loy Orr and wife

Darla of Shattuck, her daughter LaDonna Lipner of Shattuck, Grandchildren Christina

Franks, Brandon Orr, Chris Franks, Keith Orr, James Orr, Beverly Rankin and husband

Jeremy and Rialey Gaddis, 5 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a host of other family and friends.
