Patricia Louise Graff

Patricia Louise (Butler) Graff, 62, of Ashland, Kansas died on Thursday, April 20, 2017 in Andover, Kansas. She was the daughter of Lawrence Butler & Doris (Motsinger) Butler Wenger, she was born on August 26, 1954, in Princeton, Missouri.

Patty grew up in Goodland, Ellsworth and Lincoln, Kansas and later got her GED and worked as a CNA while in Goodland. Patty later
then moved to Ulysses, Kansas after she married Willie Ortivez on July 4, 1980 and adopted their daughter, Mary. Patty made her home in Ulysses until 2011. She was a bus driver for USD 214 for 20 years and worked various part time jobs.

She and Doug Graff were married on September 3, 2011 in Ashland, Kansas. She volunteered at the Tabitha House in Ashland, Kansas and was a homemaker.

Patty was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, sister and friend. She loved children very much. She enjoyed fishing, taking care of people in the community, gardening, cooking, canning and playing games. She had a heart for the elderly, children and animals. Patty was also a foster parent for many years to many children in Ulysses.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence Butler and Doris Wenger & step father, Lawrence Wenger; brothers Gary Dale Butler & Orval Butler; and sister, Carol Hernandez.

Survivors include husband, Doug Graff, Ashland, KS; one daughter, Mary Ortivez, Dodge City, KS and an adopted daughter Crystal Padilla of Ulysses, KS; three brothers, Fred Butler, Ellsworth, KS, Wayne Butler, Penrose, CO, Dee Wenger, Lincoln, KS; three sisters: Judy Herwig & husband Jim, San Antonio, TX, Kay Blackmore, Pueblo, CO, Dalinda Hernandez & husband Mike, Ulysses, KS, two adopted grandchildren: Malachi Alexander and Xzayden Ruh of Ulysses, KS along with many special nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, many other family members and friends.

Services:

Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 24, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. at Celebration Baptist Church located at 831 North College Street, Ulysses, KS 67880.
Interment will follow the funeral service at the Ulysses Cemetery, east of town.
Visitation and viewing will be at the Celebration Baptist Church on Monday, April 24, 2017 from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M.
